Cooking Classes

I offer a variety of cooking classes for every kind of person, whether you’re trying to clean up your diet, treat a condition, experiment with a new cuisine, or just need some inspiration in the kitchen. Classes can be for individuals, groups or families, and are tailored to you. Choose from hundreds of recipes, including from my new book: The Anti-Inflammatory Family Cookbook: The Kid-Friendly, Physician Approved Way to Transform Your Family’s Health.

Kids Cooking Corner

I love cooking with kids. And kids love cooking.

Dozens of studies show that hands-on cooking with kids makes them much more willing to try new foods, and in particular to eat more fruits and veggies. It also builds essential life skills and opens a world of creativity and fun. Right now, kids classes are online and group based. They are offered for kids as young as 3 years old (with parent participation) and up to teens.

Herbal Medicine Classes

For most of us, the idea of making our own medicine seems about as accessible as putting together our own i-phone. In reality, it’s pretty simple. These classes will empower you with the skills you need to make and use herbal remedies at home—safely and effectively.

Maker Classes: Learn how to make herbal medicine at home: teas, tinctures, vinegars, oils, cough syrups, salves, lotions and more.

Build Your Home Medicine Cabinet: Learn to treat everyday ailments like belly-aches, colds, anxiety, insomnia, and more using ten simple herbs.

Culinary Medicine for Health Providers

Diet is the leading cause of chronic disease in the U.S. Yet most health practitioners aren’t trained in how to use food as a tool to promote health. These trainings are for health providers, including MDs, Nurses and NPs, PAs, RDs, mental health providers and allied community health professionals. Providers learn how to effectively use behavior change tools to help patients change eating habits, and to translate evidence-based nutrition therapies into delicious, healthy meals. Providers come away with tools they can use immediately in their practices.
